About Us

At Good Heart Child Care, love is not just a word—it is the foundation on which every child’s life is rebuilt.

We are a family for the forgotten, a home for the abandoned, and a place of hope for children whose stories began in pain, loss, and uncertainty. Many of the children who come to us have known hunger instead of laughter, loneliness instead of comfort, and fear instead of safety. But here, everything begins to change.

Within our care, every child is seen, every tear is noticed, and every dream is nurtured.

Good Heart Child Care was founded in 2014 by Pastor Titus Ssekawe of Soul Light Embassy Church Uganda, together with his wife Tinah Titus. What began as a small act of compassion inside their own home has today grown into a refuge of hope for many children.

Their story is deeply personal. Titus himself grew up as a total orphan, and Tinah was raised in an orphanage. They both experienced the pain of growing up without the love and security of a family. Instead of allowing that pain to define them, they turned it into purpose.

They chose to become the solution they once needed.

With open hearts, they began to care for children who were just like them—total orphans, vulnerable, abandoned, and street children with nowhere else to go. What started with almost nothing but faith and love has continued to grow through the kindness of compassionate individuals across the world.

Because of this support, children at Good Heart Child Care are given what they once lacked—food, shelter, education, guidance, and most importantly, love. Here, they are not treated as statistics, but as sons and daughters with dreams, potential, and a future worth fighting for.

We believe that no child is born without purpose. No matter how broken their past may be, their future can still shine. That is why we are committed not only to providing basic needs—but also to restoring dignity, building confidence, and planting seeds of hope deep within their hearts.

At Good Heart Child Care, we raise children in an environment filled with love, faith, and belonging. We become the family they lost, the support they never had, and the encouragement they desperately need. Through education, life skills, and spiritual guidance, we prepare them not just to survive—but to thrive, to dream again, and to become responsible, compassionate individuals who will one day transform their communities.

Our mission is simple, yet deeply powerful:

But we cannot do this alone.
